Edward M. Aloe is Founder and Managing Principal of CALCAP Advisors Inc. For the past 22 years, Ed has been involved in the areas of acquisition and syndication, as well as commercial and residential finance. Mr. Aloe is currently the Managing Member of multiple LLC’s that own multi-family, retail, office and industrial properties. Ed spent 14 years at IndyMac Bank, where he was most recently a Regional President, specializing in the purchase and securitization of residential mortgages. Patrick A. Wakeman is a Founder and Principal of CALCAP Advisors. He specializes in multi-family and commercial properties, REO purchases, and defaulted Note acquisitions. Pat began his career with CB Richard Ellis in 1988 handling leasing and sales of commercial properties, eventually representing over one million square feet of buildings owned by institutional and developer clients such as Ford Motor Company, Allstate Insurance, Koll Company, T. Rowe Price Mutual Funds and Transamerica Insurance. In 1995, Pat founded Landmark Realty Group, a firm dedicated to commercial property investment, syndication and brokerage. Working with a close-knit group of investors, he formed multiple LLCs and LPs to purchase apartment and commercial projects throughout the U.S. Pat is a graduate of the University of San Diego with a B.B.A. in Business Administration and Accounting. Mark Mozilo is a Principal of CALCAP Advisors Inc. Since 1986, Mark has been involved in the mortgage business and acquisition of land and apartment units as a Managing Member of multiple LLC’s. Mark recently spent the last 12 years running various lending activities for IndyMac Bank as an EVP and CEO. Mark's range of responsibilities included overseeing all aspects of sales and marketing, recruiting and training, operations, and strategic and financial planning.
Prior to joining IndyMac Bank, Mark founded a mortgage banking firm, Keros Mozilo Mortgage. His company focused on niche lending for wholesale mortgage brokers. Mark also worked 6 years for Countrywide Financial as a Regional Vice President. Mr. Mozilo earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of San Diego, and has earned the Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) designation.
Mark serves on several boards which include; Shelter Partnership of Los Angeles, Wellness Community of San Gabriel Valley and University of San Diego's Real Estate Committee. Mark is also a member of the San Gabriel Valley Young Presidents Organization (YPO).

Lou Galuppo is General Counsel of CalCap Advisors. Mr. Galuppo has been involved in the real estate industry since 1975 as a principal, builder, real estate broker, mortgage broker, developer, and attorney. From 1989, Mr. Galuppo has been practicing law, emphasizing both transaction and litigation matters relating to real estate, finance, construction, development, environmental and land use. He is licensed to practice in all courts of the State of California; including the four Federal District Courts. Previously, Mr. Galuppo was a partner in the real estate law firm of Peterson & Price. Lou has been awarded the distinction of an “AV” rating with the lawyer rating service of Martindale-Hubble. The AV® certification mark is the highest level of rating accomplishment.
Mr. Galuppo is also the Director of the Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate at the University of San Diego (“USD”). He has taught Legal Aspects of Real Estate in the School of Business Administration at USD as a professor starting in 1998. In 2004, in the Masters of Science of Real Estate (“MSRE”) he started teaching Real Estate Law, Ethics and Public Policy. Josh Holman is the Vice President of CALCAP Advisors, Inc. Mr. Holman has been with the company since April 2009. Prior to joining the company he worked in Residential Land Acquisitions for Makar Properties, LLC, a large residential and commercial developer with over $1 Billion in assets under management. Mr. Holman also served as the Urban Infill V.P. of Finance for one of the 50 largest homebuilders in the country. He started his career in 1999 as the Corporate Financial Analyst for The Meyers Group, a Southern California based residential market research and consulting firm.
In his current role as Vice President for CALCAP Advisors, Inc., Mr. Holman is responsible for utilizing his deal underwriting and acquisition experience to seek out stalled condominium, townhome and multi-family investment opportunities. He is also a valuable part of the day-to-day management of the residential assets in CALCAP’s portfolio. Mr. Holman graduated with honors in 1998 from Northern Arizona University with a B.S.B.A in Finance. He also received his M.B.A. from the Graziadio School of Business at Pepperdine University in 2005. He recently passed the DRE Broker’s License exam and he is currently in the process of earning a certificate in Light Construction Development Management from the University of California, Irvine. Robert P. Salgado is Vice President of Brokerage at CALCAP Advisors, specializing in acquisitions for CALCAP as well as third party transactions. Bob brings with him twenty years of experience in the commercial real estate industry; the last ten years as Vice President for Voit Real Estate Services. There, he devoted his expertise to representing investors, developers, and tenants; successfully meeting their real estate objectives in this continually changing climate.
Bob holds a BBA degree in Business Administration from the University of San Diego. He resides in the Mission Hills area of San Diego and is active in many local organizations including the Rancho Penasquitos Little League and Nativity Prep Academy and is a liturgical minister at St. Joseph Cathedral. Whit Riske is the Director of Design and Construction for CALCAP Advisors Inc. Most recently Mr. Riske served as the Vice President of Southern California for Wentz Group where his projects included the pre-construction services on a 400 + unit mixed-use development. Prior to joining Wentz Group, Mr. Riske worked for eight years at Snyder Langston on both the commercial side of the business and for SL Residential. Mr. Riske is an expert in the field of construction management and general contracting providing on site leadership on more than 350 million dollars of executed work to include construction and pre-construction services on over 700 units. Notable projects include Shady Canyon Golf Club, Irvine, the Jewish Community Center, Irvine, University Research Park Phases 12 and 13 (Broadcom Campus), Irvine, Pacifica (Lennar), Long Beach, and the Resort at Pelican Hill Hotel, Spa and Pool Grill, Newport Coast.
Mr. Riske is an active member of the community supporting various outreach and professional organizations. He holds a B.S. of Construction Management from Northern Arizona University, College of Engineering, is a member of Urban Land Institute (ULI), NAIOP Young Professionals Group Class of 2007, is the Vice Chair of the YPG Alumni Committee, a member of the USGBC, and is a LEED Accredited Professional.
